At Grace we have a passion to make a kingdom difference in our community and world. This happens as we serve the poor, the struggling and the hurting; as we fight against injustice as directed by Scripture; and as we share and encourage others to take one step closer to Jesus.
The ministries at Grace are both outwardly and inwardly focused. In order to be Jesus' hands and feet in our community, we also need to care for our body, the church.
Jesus calls us salt and light. As we draw closer to Him, we find His plan for us to serve. As we serve, we draw closer to Him.
Can You Help?
What's YOUR superpower? What gives you joy, draws you closer to God and others, gives you a sense of purpose in the Kingdom? When you have an idea on how you're gifted by God, it can help you match that up with ways to serve. Interested in more on this? Click the button below!
This team manages our "local missions" here in our communities. Our goal is to have the greatest impact we can to fulfill felt needs and to help people come to know and have a personal relationship with Jesus.
We meet about once a month to review reports and prayer requests from our missionaries around the world. We compile their news to share with the congregation, pray for them, and review budgets. We coordinate periodic missionary visits to Grace, and plan mission trips that the congregation can participate in.
Ushering is a simple way to get to know people at Grace! It's an easy area to plug into; you can serve one or more Sundays per month as your schedule allows. We arrive 20 minutes early and stay after services to set up/clean up things like communion tables, outdoor music/message sheets, offering boxes, etc., and collect the offering following each service.
Our Guest Services team duties are simple and yet oh so important! We set up and clean up the counter, help new people and existing congregants with directions/questions/hello cards, and smile alot! Easy peasy!
This team is the group who brew coffee and set up the coffee/beverage/snack service on Sundays. Teams of two spend about 1.5 hours on a given Sunday morning to make sure our guests and Grace family feel warmly welcomed.
This team meets periodically when a request for financial help comes in. Most of the work is done via emails as the team prayerfully considers the request and determines whether and how to help to meet it. We are a team that puts feet to scripture - James 1:27 “to look after people in their distress."
